Comcast is America's largest broadband provider, and internet connectivity, not television, is the financial center of the company. The cable division's high-margin subscriptions fund everything else: NBCUniversal's film studios, theme parks and networks, the Peacock streaming service, and Sky's European operations. Pay-TV decline is managed for cash while broadband competes with fiber and fixed wireless entrants. Founded in 1963 as a small Mississippi cable operator, Comcast remains family-led through the Roberts family.
