Hewlett Packard Enterprise sells servers, storage systems and networking equipment to businesses building out data center and computing infrastructure, having split off from the original Hewlett-Packard to focus specifically on enterprise technology rather than personal computers and printers. The company has increasingly positioned itself around AI infrastructure, selling the servers and networking gear that businesses need to run AI workloads, alongside its more traditional enterprise computing and storage products. HPE also offers GreenLake, a subscription-based model that lets customers pay for on-premise computing infrastructure similarly to how they'd pay for cloud services, rather than purchasing hardware outright. Its acquisition of Juniper Networks expanded HPE's networking business substantially, adding a major networking equipment maker to its existing server and storage operations.
